The challenge
The first phase required 18 MW of heat rejection with N+1 fan redundancy, a low noise limit at the property line and a plot plan that had to accommodate two future phases. The facility loop also needed a clear interface between the customer-owned CDUs and the outdoor cooling plant.
Project route
Approach
- Duty review across design-day and part-load ambient conditions.
- Dry cooler array sized for staged capacity with isolated modules.
- Plate exchanger interface schedule for pressure drop and approach temperature.
- Noise and plume review against the site planning condition.
- Factory test and release documentation aligned to commissioning.
Result
- 18 MW phase-one capacity with N+1 fan coverage.
- Outdoor plant footprint preserved for phases two and three.
- Commissioning completed against a single interface schedule.
